The early evening program on Vanha 123 will feature a special event for the festival, when the association’s former artistic director and recent Ph.D. in jazz music, Jaska Lukkarinen, will host “Dr. Jaska’s Reception” for the audience. During this relaxed afternoon, we’ll listen to Jaska’s favorite jazz records, hear stories about their backgrounds, and discuss jazz together with the audience.
Dr. Jaska’s clinic also serves as a fundraising event for the festival. The public has the opportunity to purchase fundraising tickets at various price points, with the proceeds supporting the future activities of the Porvoo Jazz Festival and the association that organizes it.
