Vid utst\u00e4llningens invigning den 10 september kl. 17\u201319 bjuds det p\u00e5 f\u00e4rsk inhemsk jazz n\u00e4r den nyligen bildade trion Saga upptr\u00e4der p\u00e5 en intim spelning p\u00e5 Porvoo Jazz Club, d\u00e4r intr\u00e4det \u00e4r gratis. <\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

N\u00e4r man fotograferar jazzspelningar m\u00e5ste man ge sig h\u00e4n \u00e5t \u00f6gonblicket utan att veta hur resultatet kommer att bli. Man m\u00e5ste l\u00e5ta sig dras med av det okontrollerbara och lita p\u00e5 ett erfaret \u00f6ga. Man m\u00e5ste f\u00f6lja sin instinkt. Varje g\u00e5ng m\u00f6ts man \u00e4nd\u00e5 av os\u00e4kerhet: kommer man att kunna skapa n\u00e5got unikt, eller kommer bilden att \u00e5terge n\u00e5got som redan har dokumenterats hundratals g\u00e5nger? <\/p>\n

Det b\u00e4sta f\u00f6r Vilminko \u00e4r just n\u00e4r han upplever att han svarar p\u00e5 den spelande artistens improvisation med en bildm\u00e4ssig improvisation. N\u00e4r det \u00e4r som b\u00e4st \u00e4r varje bild ett eget jazzsolo, som ett rytmiskt, visuellt utdrag. Vilminko b\u00f6rjade fotografera professionellt 1986. Som pressfotograf har han bland annat arbetat f\u00f6r Borg\u00e5bladet, Uusimaa, Hufvudstadsbladet samt flera f\u00f6reningstidningar. <\/p>\n

Fotograferandet har ibland legat p\u00e5 is under l\u00e5nga perioder, men har aldrig helt f\u00f6rsvunnit. Passionen f\u00f6r fotograferandet blossade upp p\u00e5 nytt n\u00e4r den m\u00f6ttes av en annan gammal passion \u2013 jazzen. <\/p>\n

Porvoo Jazz Festivals \u00e5rliga h\u00f6stprogram och de m\u00e5natliga jazzklubbarna har erbjudit ett m\u00e5ngsidigt och h\u00f6gklassigt utbud av toppartister b\u00e5de fr\u00e5n Finland och utlandet. Det finns inte m\u00e5nga konserter som Vilmingo inte har fotograferat. N\u00e4stan alla bilder i denna utst\u00e4llning \u00e4r faktiskt tagna under festivalen eller p\u00e5 klubbarna. <\/p>\n

Vilminko upplever att rytmen i en svartvit bild f\u00f6revigas i sin egen, tidl\u00f6sa verklighet. Ibland, n\u00e4r nyanserna \u00e4r i r\u00e4tt harmoni, \u00e4r det till\u00e5tet att improvisera med f\u00e4rg. Svartvitt \u00e4r dock grundtonen. <\/p>\n
