In the festival’s opening concert, the Porvoo Jazz Festival joins forces with the music school Porvoonseudun musiikkiopisto. The concert is for the whole family and free entrance. The concert features a group of amazing and talented soloists led by the piano trio of the music college. The music will be a selection of fusion jazz all the way to traditional jazz standards.

At the music school, you can find hobby options for children, young people and adults alike;
instrument or singing lessons, bands and orchestras and choirs.
For the youngest members of the family, there are music playschool, band and pop playschool, and music workshops.
The music school also has open studies that are suitable for all adult music enthusiasts. You can choose the instrument from a long selection of different instruments.
You can join the music school in Askola, Lapinjärvi, Loviisa, Mäntsälä, Pornaisin, Porvoo, Pukkila and Sipoo.
