Porvoo Jazz Festival was born 10 years ago and we want to celebrate it together with the best possible jazz music out there! Our 10th anniversary concert will be held at a new location at Porvoo’s old railway station in a historical locomotive garage called Veturitalli. The star of the show, Linda Fredriksson, can happily be called one of the brightest jazz musicians of the moment, and Teosto and Emma Award-winning, five-star album Juniper is this year\u2019s most talked about musical phenomenon. The album is praised by critics and audiences alike. Juniper is catchy and genre-free, with strong melodies immersed in dreamlike textures. <\/p>\n\n
Linda Fredriksson has become known as a strong and energetic improviser and an adaptable musician in several well known bands such as Mopo, Ricky-Tick Big Band and Superposition. <\/p>\n\n
In Juniper the music is composed by Fredrikssons “quiet and shy side”. It is honest and private – soulful singer-songwriter music played by a jazz band.<\/p>\n\n
