Karmen R\u00f5ivassepp Quartet, perhaps the most ethereal band of the artist presentations, is a vibrant and remarkable jazz quartet that has reached a solid audience in Scandinavia. After their debut released in 2018, the band has been aiming for a breakthrough on the European jazz scene. The quartet is constantly evolving and has recently moved a bit further away from traditional jazz, presenting a more reflective, atmospheric and melancholic contemporary jazz style. In the process of finding their distinct sound, the band has experimented with anything from through-composed material to complete freedom and open improvisation.<\/p>\n\n
At the concert, the audience can expect skillful and distinctively soft singing voice, excellent musical interaction and refined melodies and harmonies when these four young jazz musicians take the stage.<\/p>\n\n
Karmen R\u00f5ivassepp Quartet has published two highly respected studio albums , Dance of Sounds (2018) ja Breathe (2021). R\u00f5ivassepi’s exceptional musicality has been noted in 2023 with the Danish Music Industry Jazz Award: “Jazz Composer of the Year” and in 2024 with the Estonian Music Industry Award: “Jazz Album of the Year”.<\/p>\n\n
