This concert explores the boundaries between poetry and music, tradition and the present. Chamber music, improvisation, art music, and the soundscapes of the Renaissance come together in a delicate and distinctive acoustic soundscape. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to rare works by composers such as Paavo Heininen and Philippe de Monte, the program is built around the unique arrangements by Seppo Kantonen and Anders Jormin, in which music and poetry intertwine to form a profound artistic dialogue. Texts by Karin Boye, Pentti Saarikoski, P\u00e4r Lagerkvist, A. W. Yrj\u00e4n\u00e4, Edith S\u00f6dergran, Olli-Matti Ronimus, Aleksi Barri\u00e8re, and Tomas Transtr\u00f6mer give voice to the program\u2019s themes and deepen its expression. <\/span><\/p>\n
