A legendary Finnish singer-songwriter Hector has always been inspired by the imprint of the 1960´s American and British songwriters. And when it comes to the interpreters, especially Dusty Springfield has left a huge mark on him. Now, these nostalgic songs get a new life when Hector has translated the texts into stories in Finnish. These will be presented by jazz singer Aili Ikonen with a wonderfull band Jukka Perkko Avara.

Aili Ikonen and Hector started working together when Aili told him about her dream to record a Finnish version on Michel Legrand’s “What are you doing the rest of your life?” This started a collaboration between two artists that represented different eras and different styles of music.

In the concert, you’ll hear new texts by Hector to bigger or smaller hits of popular music that will be interpreted by jazz professionals. On top of a nostalgic feeling, you’ll hear something unheard and fresh. Besides of Dusty Springfields songs, you’ll also hear tunes from Carol King and Michel Legrand, just to name few.
